Many years ago I worked for an East Indian Catering Company. I loved learning how to balance the seasoning for dishes and enjoyed drinking Lassi’s and Chai throughout the day. A Lassi was particularly good at soothing the tongue after seasoning a spicy dish! I love combining orange & mango flavours and Rum is my favourite!
I absolutely LOVE Pecan Tarts! While a bit more labour intensive, this is a relatively easy dessert recipe. These tarts are wonderful for parties, look lovely in a mixed dessert platter, and are always a popular treat! While one could easily substitute traditional tart dough I made these Gluten Free for my fellow Celiacs!
Cucumber Raita is usually served as a condiment with other Indian dishes but it can be a served as a side summer salad as well!
Perfect Gluten Free dessert to bring to a potluck or for your summer evening at home. Easy to make and a healthy treat!
I enjoy strolling through my garden in the summer and picking veggies and herbs to use in savoury soups!
These are a bit labour intensive but worth the effort! One of my favourites dishes when topped with Sour Cream and Chives!
A tasty Tomato Bisque Soup when Farmers Market or garden tomatoes are in season and abundant! Serve as a main dish or appetizer.
A light summer salad dressing with lots of flavour!
A spicy sauce yummy served warm over steamed vegetables!
My transparent apples are ready to pick and what better way to use them than in a delicious apple crumble muffin recipe. Best part is no peeling!
