Easy Homemade Tzatziki

I have bought so much ready-made tzatziki in my life until I found out how easy it is to make! This typical Greek side dish or dressing is a wonderful accompagnement to Roasted Lamb or any roasted meat or vegetable.

Easy Homemade Tzatziki

  • whole large cucumber with skin on (about 5 oz. or 140g)
  • 1 ½ cups full fat Greek yoghurt
  • 1 clove garlic, pressed
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. white pepper, ground


  • Wash the cucumber well. Grate into a sieve and let drain for 10 minutes.
  • Combine cucumber, yoghurt, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, salt & pepper together in a serving bowl and stir until combined.
  • Let sit in refrigerator at least 30 minutes before serving.
